Today the Washington Redskins signed Jordan Reed to a five year fifty million dollars contract. Now the contract is significant not just for the amount of money but, it sends a message about the Redskins offensive goals in 2016.
Reed’s new contract makes him one of the highest paid Tight Ends in the NFL and the Redskins are expecting significant production from him this upcoming season. Now that Reed has been signed to a long term deal he’s now a cornerstone player on the Redskins offense.
It can be said that Redskins may have one of the best Tight End corps in the league. The off season signing of Vernon Davis & the return of Nikes Paul, Quarterback Kirk Cousins will have plenty of big targets in the red zone that will the Redskins to punish opposing teams defenses this season.
